Ellen C. Maze rated it: FIVE STARSYoungster Pete Farrell lived in the shadow of his pals his whole life. In the opening scenes, you say to yourself, What a goober! as he un-athletically sends his bike end over end, and ends up having to walk home alone. But by then, you know that he is about to stumble upon something amazing. When he discovers the underground lab from ages past, Pete learns about a history never taught in school. Another slip inside the lab and Pete is literally changed forever. Now, your story is really afoot!WHAM! BAM! POW! Peter Kelly brings us a rip-roaring superhero story that rivals any of those penned in Marvel Comics, and I feel were going to be seeing even more great tales from this young writer.Word to the wise, read the story for itself, and dont focus on the newbie errors sprinkled here and there. Peter Kelly can spin a yarn that will curl your toes and swell your chest with excitement. I hope he keeps his pen to the paper for years to come.Good storytellers are more rare than you think, dont stop now, Mr. Kelly!5-Stars for Story Excellence!(For my YA readers, R-rating for language)Ellen C MazeAuthor of Curiously Spiritual Vampire TalesRabbit: Chasing Beth Rider, Bestseller in Kindle, Horror/Occult
About the Author
Peter Kelly
My name is Peter Kelly I was born in Philadelphia on May 10, 1983. I am the son of Frank and Joan Kelly. I have three brothers(Mike, Jim, and Joe) and four sisters(Jenn, Rachael, Sarah, and Loretta trippy right). I am the proud Uncle of 15 kids and godfather to two of them. I was never sure what I wanted to be when I was a kid but ask anyone who knew me and becoming a ficition writer would suprise none of them. Since I was young I loved stories of super heroes especially tales of Batman or Superman. I wrote short stories for myself creating my kind of heroes. I never seriously entertained the idea of becoming a writer until college. I went to Philadelphia Community College because I didnt know what I wanted to be which I discovered wasn't uncommon. I decided there to try and become a Journalist. Being from Philadelphia you almost have to be a sports fan. Its part of the culture in this city and I have always loved it. In Community I decided to try and combine these two and try and become a sports writer. This led me to graduate, get my Associates Degree in communication then enroll in Temple University. My plans never completely played out the way I hoped. I chose a profession that was quickly changing. However my desire to write was never stronger. While in school, I started writing Dawn of The Shadow.I was working on it during late nights at my part time movie theater job. It was a story that quickly became more then I originally intended. I saw myself in the story which helped me in creating something original. After finishing it I started the long process of editing it which was harder then I thought it would be. I also during this time started shopping the story around to different publishing houses. As any author will tell you getting a publishing company to take notice or to take a risk on a new author is extremly difficult. I continued to try and smooth out the problems in the book all while getting constant rejections until I came across Dream Books LLC. They were a new company that decided to take the chance. After months of editing out the mistakes they sent me a contract. That was one of the greatest days of my life. After that I have gone full throttle into this world. I started writing a second novel I tentatively titled Its Just a Family Thing. Right now I am working with a talented editor to make sure next year it will be released. I have also begun working on the sequel to Dawn, I had hoped to create a series of books out of this story about a hero named Shadow. Whether or not I become successful has yet to be determined but I have never been more sure that this is my path. I guess when the book is written on me people can take away that I found my destiny, I found my path.
